About CIMP Foundation

The Centre for CSR & ESG Studies Foundation at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), commonly known as the CIMP Foundation, was established in 2017 and registered under Section 8 of the Societies Registration Act, 1860, in 2023.

As one of the early institutions in Bihar dedicated to advancing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, it aims to promote inclusive and transformative development that extends beyond traditional business and management boundaries.

Bihar faces significant challenges in leveraging CSR for development, as the data reveals persistently low and uneven funding—receiving less than 1% of the national CSR allocation despite high need and widespread poverty.
