ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The case teaching method has become the way of teaching in B-Schools across the globe, which provides students with real-time experience. The Management Case Competition (MCC) conference is an endeavour to motivate academicians, practitioners, consultants, and research scholars to come up with the best solution to a business situation. The case competition aims to encourage and promote the development of high-quality cases of both national and international relevance. Participants from all over the world are invited to participate and share their experiences.

The 2nd edition of MCC will be held on the 3rd and 4th of November 2023.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The Case Development Workshop intends to aid participants in writing cases effectively and efficiently.

Learning Objectives:-

  • Understand a systematic approach to case writing
  • Discussion on qualitative and quantitative data to strengthen the case study
  • Designing a teaching note, preparing case questions and solutions
  • Designing a framework for an effective business case

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna was inaugurated in 2008 by His Excellency the then Vice-President of India, Md. Hamid Ansari, as the dream-project of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar to resurrect the ancient educational glory of Bihar. It is an autonomous institute of excellence in management education, consulting and research set up by the Government of Bihar on the lines of Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). CIMP offers full time AICTE Approved, NBA accredited and AIU recognized Post-Graduate Diploma in Management programme; full-time AICTE approved Fellow (Doctoral) Programme in Management (FPM) and Executive Programme in Management (EXPM). Apart from this, CIMP also provides short-term Training Programme, Research and Consulting services for various departments, agencies and bodies of the government and the corporate.

CIMP is among the Top-125 B-schools in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2022.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • All cases submitted for oral presentation at MCC must contain original work that has not been previously presented or scheduled for presentation. If accepted for publication, or if under review, it must not appear in print before the case competition.
  • Font: Times New Roman, Size – 12, Double spaced, 1 – inch (2.5 cm) margin all around.
  • Figures, graphs, tables, references, and appendices should follow APA style.
  • To facilitate the blind review process, all author identity, including acknowledgments, should be removed. The title page containing the name (s) of the author (s) and affiliation (s) should be submitted separately.
  • The extended abstract should cover the following aspects;

    Format for teaching case:

    3. The Case
    4. Data Source
    5. Case Questions
  • Format for research case:

    1. Purpose
    2. Research question
    3. The Case
    4. Data Source
    5. Methodology adopted
    6. Findings and contributions

    Please note that incomplete submission will not be sent out for the review process.

BEST CASE AWARD

There will be three best case awards; “MCC 2022 Best Paper Accolade”. Best paper selection will be done by an expert panel. Authors are required need to submit a full case to be eligible for Best case award.

  • 1st prize INR 25,000/-
  • 2nd prize INR 15,000/-
  • 3rd prize INR 10,000/-

  • Foreign Delegates: USD 150 + GST (18%)
  • From SAARC Countries : USD 100 + GST (18%)
  • Indian Delegates: INR 1000 + GST (18%)
  • Case Development Workshop only: INR 1000 + GST (18%)

Registration Fee(Non-Refundable) may be paid online at the time of Registration at the conference portal.

SUBMISSION CALENDAR

The organizing committee welcomes submission of cases, both teaching and non-teaching, from all areas of business and management. The authors can submit extended abstract for the MCC-2022. However, authors who are targeting best case award and publication opportunity need to submit a full case.

Submission of Extended Abstract : 10th August, 2022

Decision on Acceptance of the Abstract : 16th August, 2022

Submission of Full Case : 20th September, 2022

Decision on Acceptance of Full Case : 30th September, 2022

Registration of Author/Delegates : 25th October, 2022

Registration of Non Author Delegates : 30th October, 2022
