This programme is designed to give working executives a basic understanding of financial concepts. The role of a manager in an organisation has become dynamic and multi-faceted. Understanding the interrelationship between financial decisions and various functions of a company is crucial for realization of the strategic goals. Successful management of businesses requires a sound understanding of the long and short term-term financial decision-making tools, understanding of the risk and return relationship and comprehending the financial statements. This programme shall enhance the capability of non-finance executives by developing their awareness of various finance functions, financial tools and techniques and analysis of the financial statements. This, in turn, will help them work more effectively in their organisation.
The programme shall help the participants develop:
Early and mid-career professionals in private and public enterprises who want to learn about financial principles would benefit from this training. No prior knowledge of finance and accounting is required.
Prof. Sriranga Vishnu: Prof. S. Vishnu is Assistant Professor in the area of Accounting and Finance at CIMP since 2015. He is the Chairperson of F&A Area. He is a Fellow of IIM Indore and has more than 16 years of work experience in corporate, development and government sectors. At CIMP, he offers courses such as Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Financial Management and Alternative Investments. His research interests revolve around intellectual capital, knowledge management, and corporate governance. He has published research articles on related topics. In his leisure time, he enjoys listening Hindi songs, especially old melodies.
