Climate change affects a larger section of society by putting pressure on economic activities including agriculture, industries, as well as a business directly and indirectly. Climate change events like heavy rainfall, cyclone, and cold waves directly affect human lives, affects infrastructure, and create a shortage of resources. Climate change also affects the livelihoods, and earnings of the poor and generates health issues like; malaria, dengue, etc. The long-term impact of climate change is a burden mainly for the poor sections of society those who are already fighting the problems like poverty, food security, water scarcity, etc. therefore this programme is designed to provide a holistic view of climate change and related issues like mitigation, adaptation etc.

Prof. Sibananda Senapati is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna. He has done his Ph.d (Fellow NITIE) from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE, Mumbai) in the area of climate change vulnerabilities among communities and has published in reputed journals.
